IC Buddy Privacy Policy
IC Buddy™ ("IC Buddy," "we," "our," or "us") is a symptom-tracking app for personal use. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the IC Buddy mobile app and related website.
Information you provide
- Account information, including your email address and password credentials.
- Profile information, including name, date of birth, gender, height, weight, and IC-related profile fields.
- Health and diary data, including symptoms, food, bathroom activity, water, medications, appointments, journal entries, and tracking preferences.
- Support communications and information you choose to include in a request.
Information collected automatically
We may process app version, platform, authentication or session identifiers, error and diagnostic signals, and over-the-air update metadata needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and update the service. IC Buddy does not use the Android Advertising ID, does not sell health data for advertising, and does not track your location.
Google Play purchases
For Google Play subscriptions, we process purchase tokens and order IDs to verify entitlement status. Google handles payment card information; IC Buddy does not receive your full payment card details.
How we use information
- Provide sign-in, storage, diary, profile, and other requested features.
- Verify subscription entitlements.
- Deliver app updates and diagnose errors.
- Protect accounts, sessions, and service security.
- Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.
Sharing with service providers
IC Buddy does not sell diary entries or health data for advertising. We share information only as needed with service providers that help operate the app: Convex for hosting, database, and authentication; Google Play for subscription verification; and Expo (EAS Updates) for app update delivery. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
Data retention
Information remains active while your account exists. When you delete your account, associated personal data is deleted from active systems. Limited backup, security, fraud-prevention, legal, or billing-dispute records may remain for up to 30 days before deletion or expiration.
Account and data deletion
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account and confirm. You can also use the Account Deletion page if you do not have access to the app.
Security
IC Buddy uses HTTPS/TLS encryption for information transmitted between supported clients and services. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so protect your credentials and report suspected unauthorized access.
Children
IC Buddy is not directed to children under 13.
